This website has been set up to help bring the transgender community closer together and to offer mutual support and help. Here you will meet new friends, be able to see and speak to trans people from all over NZ , read and insert poetry and art, find up to date and relevant, information on gender problems and any questions you have will be answered with courtesy, some humor and much compassion. We know that living day to day as a transgendered person can be a huge struggle; depression and drug and alcohol dependency can result if the pressures become too great. Knowing this we hope to alleviate some of those stresses by giving people access to a greater knowledge and awareness of gender dysphoria and its associated problems; also to show that many with this condition can and do live happy and successful lives. Hiding from things is no help, but sharing a problem is a problem halved. Finally, should you join, I think you will come to realise the caring nature of most of the transgendered and their willingness to 'be there' for others in their times of need. Certainly the group who originated this website are caring and compassionate people with wide experience. How the site develops depends to a great extent on the members participation in its affairs.
